"Just Yesterday" takes the reader on an unforgettable adventure back to a time when the nation was young and the vast lands west of the Ohio River Valley were being opened for settlement. For some, the land would provide them with unbelievable power and wealth. It was a time of unbridled opportunity and nothing was going to stand in their way of getting what they wanted. There was a stampede to claim the western lands and what lay below the surface regardless if they were already occupied. American's first citizens that lived there were seen as nothing more than a barrier to progress. Native Americans saw the land as a giver of life and it was revered and needed to be protected from exploitation. These two opposing forces were on a collision course. "Just Yesterday" is a fictional story about six teenagers that were on a quest to find out what happened to an Indian family that lived in their small town seventy-five years ago. The deeper they dug into the story surrounding the family greater the mystery grew. They encounter major obstacles along the way in their effort to discover the truth about the disappearance. They found themselves caught in the web of curse that they were predestined to fulfill. Their carefree world of growing up in the '60s changed and suddenly the past became the present and the present became the future. They went through a transformation and embraced their new identities. They were unafraid to follow their hearts while righting a terrible wrong. They found strength in their faith, in each other, and in fulfilling their destiny.
