About Time!
Grant has turned out a really great little compendium of down to earth advice for the everyday/utilitarian bicyclist. He thoroughly covers all aspects from the bike to the rider to the weather and the road environment.
Some might accuse him of being opinionated, but his considerable credentials probably make this justifiable. I was only moved to diasgree with him on a very few occasions.
Be warned that he challenges quite few long standing shibboleths of the bicycle world, the main one being the dominance of racing bike design that has for too long had too much influence on everyday cyclists, what they ride how they dress and how they are perceived. He has coined the term "Unracer" to describe his new, authentic cyclist, riding for practical purposes and just for fun, free of the onerous trappings and utilitarian limitations of the TDF wannabes.
