Doran, previous copyright 1909 by The Ridgway Co, Copyright 1910, 1911, 1912 by Cosmopolitan Magazine. Rust cloth boards with white portrait and titles on frt bd. White color smeared but all legible. Spine title faded but also legible. Fairly sharp tips show light rubbing, spine ends rubbed with 1/4 inch split in cloth at foot. Tiny former owner's name stamp on frt pastdn. Few finger smudges in page margins, no text obscured. Fourteen full page black ink drawings on yellow backgrounds, first one starting but still attached. Yellowed square on first page of text and opposing blank leaf from formerly placed scrap paper. Part fact, part fiction, these stories in old-time dialect written by a young guy in a New England town.
