Seller's Description:
Fair. This is a paper back book: Used-Acceptable: All pages and the cover are intact, but shrink wrap, dust covers, or boxed set case may be missing. Pages may include limited notes, highlighting, or minor water damage but the text is readable. Item may be missing bundled media.
This handbook is divided into horticultural sections (and therefore some overlap in lesson plans).
These are not "true" lesson plans but close to it. Better would be more references, an introduction, closing, and more step by step instructions, esp for the non gardener types.
The activities covered have a lot of frou-frou in them and not as much strictly gardening activities as I would like. Interestingly, there are really no lesson plans for you if you DO have an outside plot of ground that you can use. Actually there are very few lesson plans for outdoor use, period.
And lastly, there are a few errors. A nice line drawing of germinating seed has the parts labeled incorrectly.
Any gardening book at lists specific plants (at least outdoor plants) will not be useful across the country, and don't expect that. But the authors could have included more plant specifics on indoor plants to use.
