I picked this book up not knowing what I was going to read about Johnny. Little did I know just how deep his demons were against the backdrop of his faith. Johnny's spiritual faith and strong beliefs helped him survive the many trials and tribulations he faced from the loss of his brother Jack to the loss of June. This book really got to the core of who Johnny Cash was and what drove him to be the way he was. I recommend this read because it holds many surprises and revelations no fan and non fan ever knew!
