Seller's Description:
Very Good in Fine jacket. Previous bookseller price, and owner name. One of the most sensational gunfighters of the Old West, Hardin, who was a minister's son, had killed 27 men by the time he was eighteen years old. His was a paradoxical life. Being alternately feared and revered by many, he went to prison for murder and emerged a lawyer. A detailed and absorbing biography.
The author wrote this book in 1957, and actually knew F.M. Fly, who was still a justice of the peace in 1956 and was a wide eyed lad when Hardin was battling the state police, and a deputy sheriff when Hardin was released from prison, so he had much information stored in his memory.
He also was able to procure scores of letters and documents from Hardin's descendants which added to the accuracy of Hardin's accounts.
