The young John is immersed in the culture and raised by the tribe through to an adult age. Later on John is sent to the Yellowstone army post on a scouting mission, romance blossoms with the daughter of company Colonel. Conflict rears it head as the mistaken half-breed returns to the Crow. Tragedy ensues when the post is attacked by hostile Indians and the Crow ride to the rescue.
