Seller's Description:
None. Very Good in Good jacket. A first edition of this bibliography by MacDonald. With a Frontispiece portrait of Dryden, from a painting by Kneller. John Dryden (19 August 1631 – 12 May 1700) was an English poet, literary critic, translator, and playwright who was made Poet Laureate in 1668. He is seen as dominating the literary life of Restoration England to such a point that the period came to be known in literary circles as the Age of Dryden. Walter Scott called him "Glorious John." In a blue cloth binding with gilt title detailing to the spine, and an unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, generally smart with some shelfwear; bumping to the extremities, and some marks to boards. The hinges are just a little strained. The dustwrapper is strong with some age toning, staining to the spine, and a little loss to the extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound with bright, clean pages Very Good.
