Eventually, Pocahontas meets and falls in love with tobacco planter John Rolfe (Leslie Austin). The settlers also capture a Spanish spy (Paul McAllister), who is attempting to carry messages to the Floridas. The film attempted to give an accurate study of the way Jamestown really was during the era -- crudely built and isolated in winter.
