Before they realize what is happening, they are embroiled in a dangerous mystery and are involved in a game of cat and mouse with a man who is playing his role with fate. Fate also has plans for Jo and Amy, who find their growing attraction to one another is becoming more evident and difficult to hide from their family and friends. Four High School friends are drawn into a mystery, while a clandestine organization The Kindred, observe them for power they don't yet know they have.
