Ivy Introspective
I had the pleasure of reading and adored the first book from The Chronicles of Alice and Ivy series by Kellyn Roth, The Dressmaker's Secret, and was excited to have the opportunity to read book two, Ivy Introspective. Since it is part of a series, I believe it would be best to start it with the beginning. I thought this was a sweet story and I enjoyed going back in time to Scotlands McCale House. I could relate to Ivy and her struggles to fit in and learning how to be comfortable within herself. I loved watching her mature and grow throughout the book. I thought Kellyns perfectly detailed by showing how Ivy was able to blossom, overcome her difficulties and come out of her shell. I felt like I was right there taking this adventure right along Ivy. The story paced just right for me and I did not want to put it down. I thought it was great.
I am giving Ivy Introspect four and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean historical fiction. I am looking forward to the third installment from The Chronicles of Alice and Ivy series, At Her Fingertips, to see what happens next with these characters. I am curious to find out what Kellyn Roth has in store for them.
I received a digital copy of Ivy Introspect from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
