What follows is a sample lesson plan: Students work in small groups using electronic devices as learning aids to solve each of the puzzles cooperatively. The teacher provides one copy of the same puzzle for each group who then provide correct answers for the starting questions followed by: a) Discussion of the solution excerpt b) Written assignment to follow c) Marks awarded for each group for order of the classroom finish of the correct solution d) Individual marks for the written assignment Questions in each puzzle include the following topics: Irish geography, culture, personalities, landmarks and important individuals from ancient and modern Irish History. Irish Acrostics is meant as an adjunct for Irish studies in Ireland and the rest of the world.
