Good for discussion about the "troubles in Ireland
I used this book for a middle school all class read when we were studying Ireland. It provoked a lot of thoughtful discussions around all the different sides in Ireland in the second half of the 20th century. It explains all the sides and perspectives in a very easy and simple way. It may not be the best written book but is great if you are exploring all the factions in Ireland. I was uneasy at points about the Christianity perspective but even that doesn't hold the book from being thoughtful to the difficults issues. I do wish that the author had written more of her religious perspective in her explanation of the book, but I still would have read it anyway.
