None. Very Good. A scarce first edition of this volume on theosophy. Focusing on the nature of divinity, the work is a concise and interesting introductory work on the subject. Undated as called for. In paper-covered boards. Externally quite smart, there is minor wear to extremities and backstrip, as well as some light markings to boards and strain to hinges. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are largely bright and clean throughout, aside from some markings around the binding to the front and rear of the volume. Very Good.

Seller's Description:
None. Very Good Indeed. The uncommon first edition of this introduction to the tenets of Theosophy, by writer and lecturer Adelaide Gardner. The uncommon first edition of this introduction to Theosophy by an important member of the religion. Gardner was well-known among Theosophists, particularly in England and Europe. She served for a time as General Secretary of the English Section, and was National Lecturer in England for many years. Part of the occultist stream of western esotericism, Theosophy was a religion established by Helena Blavatsky in the United States in the late nineteenth century, drawing upon both older European philosophies such as Neoplatonism and Asian religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism. In the publisher's original paper covered boards. Externally, excellent. Small closed tear to head of front wrap, with handling marks to wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages a touch age toned to perimeters, otherwise clean and bright. Very Good Indeed.
