I have to admit that this is the first book I have read in the religous category. I am amazed at the information and thoughts that this book has to offer. It really has given me a lot to analyze and think over - a lot. I recommend this book to everyone - because all religions are referenced and mentioned - but of course the emphasis is on Christianity. I feel the title is not correct - it really is a book on the history of Christianity and how the church evolved into what it is today. But it is much more than the History of Christianity - it is a book on the history of religion. However, it is not light reading - but it is worth the effort.
