Rhino's Lifetime Music series continues with Intimate Portrait: Women in Rock, a collection of 16 songs performed by females artists and mainly recorded in the '80s or '90s. The collection illustrates the fallacy of grouping all female artists under the heading "women in rock, " since there are too many different styles, from soft rock to hard rock, to make this disc really hold together.
