Dan has done it again, a very concise book for the beginner to the intermediate . I would recommend that you buy Inside Lightwave version 8 as well, as the information in that book isn't 100% duplicated here.
The disk versions contain a lot of examples including the book's projects. Also to back this up Dan has a website that contains bonus tutorials.
