The paintings in this book emerged from my murky unconscious. The mixture of images-angelic, human, animal, architectural or botanical-is intuitive. They were not painted in any logical storytelling sequence. They contain some consistent references like the memorial arch at the Presbyterian Church in San Juan Capistrano dedicated to our deceased daughter, Erin. The church and gallery facades are actual places where experiences important in my life have been a blessing. All these images are used poetically, without the demands of historical logic. I hope these paintings and the words accompanying them will help others see their lives, their struggles, their successes, their failures, their faith, their doubts, and their pain and frustrations from a more balanced and hopeful place. This edition contains a Foreword by Allen D. Koehn, D.Min.; L.M.F.T.; Certified Jungian Analyst; Professor Emeritus Pacifica Graduate Institute.
