Much Of what I have written has been from memory and per sonal knowledge. I have desired to rescue from Oblivion some incidents in the history Of my native State, and perpetuate the memory Of some Of the worthy pioneers who endured all the hardships and privations Of a frontier life. I have presented a brief sketch of the intro duction of Methodism into Indiana. I would, with pleasure, have given some account Of the introduction Of other Christian denominations into the State if I had been in possession of the proper data to enable me to do so.
