A new view of India
The authors provide a detailed history of the various regions of South Asia, and the cultural threads from Persia and Turkey to Indonesia and Malaysia carried on the carpet of Hindu mythology and Mughal tales. It was the colonial system that forced people into categories according to superficial ideas of colonial "experts". This book is a good lesson to correct our misunderstanding of many multicultural regions in the world, taught through the medium of architecture and art history of the region we now know as India.
