I first read this book at age 20 and was astounded that I hadn't read it at age 12. I belive it is one of those inspirational books that can really change lives and influence people. Surely if I'd read it earlier I would have wanted nothing else than to be a primatologist like Jane Goodall. It is interesting and accessible to a wide age range. I highly recommend this book for anyone, especially young people, who are interested in wildlife, field biology, scientists, or east Africa.
