Penitance in the penitentiary
The author respectfully waited 15 years before publishing his insights while incarcerated at Carville, a facility for treatment of leprosy (Hansen's Disease)
The author's treatment of the sufferers is respectful and his humor shines through the various charcters who lived with him while serving his time
