Clean and tightly bound in maroon cloth with gilded titles and three-color embossed imagery. Very light edge and shelf wear, Very Good plus. The contents include a number of foldout horse pedigree charts and illustrations with a history of breeding, fox hunting and horse-related events. Very light shelf wear with clean text. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. There is a handwritten number and Mercantile Library stamp on the title page and some of the internal pages. There are no other indications of the library's ownership. a very nice copy.
