This is one of the best books I have read in quite a while. The author presents an excellent case of good v. evil in a colorful manner. In fact, she weaves quite a compelling story of two sisters struggling to have a good life. I enjoyed the dialect, the setting and most of all the characters. I could not put the book down. She reminded me in many ways of Zora Neale Hurston. This is an outstanding book. I thoroughly enjoyed the read.
