First Edition, First Printing, SIGNED by the author, in original dust jacket. Clean black cloth boards with blind-stamped lettering on cover, unchipped gold lettering on spine. Tiny bit of slight fading at top and bottom spine edges, no fraying or wear (tiny bump to one corner tip). Binding is tight & square, pages and edges are clean. Inscribed and signed by author on front free endpaper: "To Cornelius Greenaway, hoping he'll not be led to emulate the doings of some of the people herein depicted-Chas. J. Finger." Endpapers otherwise clean, no other markings, except for slight offset (browning) to rear endpapers from (enclosed) author's newspaper obituary. 292 pages. Dustjacket is not clipped (Two Dollars and Fifty Cents appears on spine), has very shallow chipping at top spine edge and at lower right corner of front panel, light soiling, small piece of square tape near base of spine with faint "A" on it. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
