Two Burmese girls who have come to live with missionaries Adoniram and Ann Judson in 1823 Burma, don't know what to believe about their foster parents. Myat Rodgers, a Burmese-English boy, is convinced they are spies and accuses the girls of aiding the enemy as Burma and England go to war. And when the Judsons are thrown into Death Prison, the evidence seems convincing to the girls as well.
