Seller's Description:
Like New. No Jacket. Signed by Author Revised edition, Volume 1 (Registration Numbers 1-82). Imported Foundation Stock of North American Arabian Horses.
This is an excellent introduction to Arabian Bloodstock brought to the United States at the beginning of the 20th century.
What I best liked about this book is the photo inserts and insights into what these horses did in their lifetimes and the profound effect many had on the Arabian horse industry here in the United States.
It has been 20 years since I acquired my copy and read it...but I still marvel when I think of the desert bred mare *Haffia. She could be held up as an example of what the Arabian breed is still capable of doing today.
Traits like endurance, performance and amible companionship are still exemplified in the majority of todays modern Arabians.
