Quoted bio from flap: 'Imogen Cunnigham was born in 1883 in Portland, OR. In 1910 she opened her own studio in Seattle. Together with Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Henry Swift and others she founded the group F/64 in San Francisco. In 1934 she began making portraits of Hollywood personalities for Vanity Fair magazine. Her work was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in 1937. She died in San Francisco at the age of 93. ' This book shows her B&W photos of nudes and nature as comparisons.
