Here's Bechet working with Claude Luter and his orchestra in Paris in 1952 before an appreciative crowd. Reasonably well recorded, this captures Bechet in solid form, blowing nicely on such set staples as "Muskrat Ramble," "High Society," "I Got Rhythm," "Dippermouth Blues," and "Summertime," although he wanders off-mike badly on "I Got Rhythm." The playing from Luter's small Dixieland group borders on corny in spots (especially Bernard Zacharias' trombone work), but as usual, Bechet just blasts out his patented rubbery ...
