Illustrated with two colour plates by Arthur Rackham, and charming vignette illustrations by the author's daughter, Lauren Ford. Collated, complete. A melancholy tale of a child's imagined world. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Damp staining to tail of rear board, with fading to head of rear board and to fore edge of front board. Hinges strained, but firmly held. Author's handwritten signature and typed card tipped in to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound.
