I love to cook-and wish everyone who is at all interested could get the same warm pleasure out of it I do. If you like to cook, you can be a good cook. Though you may not agree, I'm sure there's more to it than simply mastering the techniques. Honestly, did you ever know a really fine cook who hated his pots and pans? This book is a result of an enthusiasm and curiosity that began so long ago I had to stand tip-toe a box to reach the cabinet. I recall it well-and the floury biscuits I produced. Although it contains a number of such recipes, this is not a basic cookbook, . It is a collection of unusual and special recipes, somewhat adventuresome, and, in a few cases, completely unorthodox. I have made and loved them, every one. And struggled sincerely to put on paper directions you could follow with success. I hope you'll find them exciting and fun to make."
