I first saw this story as an "on demand" cartoon while channel flipping on cable TV to entertain my two grandsons when they came to visit, ages 2 & 4. They absolutely loved this story and we had to play it over and over. After their visit, I ordered the book for them to read. This story about garbage pickup in a big city is all about the big truck and how it works, the stinky trash he picks up on his night time runs, the gooey messes, mashing up the garbage, making lots of noise, etc. The ABC's describing all the gross objects in the truck belly (D-dirty diapers, Q-quail bones, U-ugly underwear) really made my grandsons laugh (while teaching them the alphabet!). The artwork really helps to give the garbage truck character a personality too.
