Well worth the read, if only that it gives the three laws of robotics. It follows the career of a robotics psychologist with the development and improvement of robots, in a humanoid form. It comprises a series of different scenarios which could almost be stand alone short stories. Perhaps they were originally.

Absolute genius. I Robot is nothing like the film - it's a different story entirely. Robots and Empire was even better and the ending was one that I'd have never predicted.
