Rather than start out with Doollittle's somewhat somber life in Alaska as a boy, the book BEGINS with an all too brief chapter on the Tokyo Raid, so as to grab the reader's interest right away! Overall, this is a fascinating book about a man who has "done it all" Even his winning EVERY major air trophy would have been enough for any ordinary man, but with Jimmy Doolittle, apparently the diminutive daredevil was just getting warmed up!
