Seller's Description:
Near Fine. 4to-over 9¾"-12" tall. First Edition. 4to-over 9¾"-12" tall. [28]p. Paper-covered boards. A near fine copy which has a small "Library/Loaned" stamp on what would ordinarily be the front free endpaper, but which has no other library markings whatsoever and whose spine is very faintly rubbed. I do not believe this book was issued with a d.j. Inside the front and back cover is a fold-out illustration which was meant to be removed, pasted on cardboard, and hung on the wall. One final point, while this book has paper-covered boards, the paper was pasted to very thin oak-tag type paper and therefore has flexible boards, much closer to a paperback than a hardcover book. I believe, because of the lot to which this book belonged, that the library stamp was that of a publisher's library, rather than that of a school or public library.
