I am finding this book easy to read, follow, and understand. It is a very good introduction to the subject of reading music as, even though I studied piano for twelve years, I never learned how to read music well. I would get my teachers to play the pieces for me and I would play the music, mistakes and all, just like they played it after carefully listening. This book takes the mistery out of the staff and all other types of musical notation so that definitions and musical symbols are understood. Music terminology is discussed, defined, and examples are given. This book is helping me overcome my fear of musical notation.
