This 150+ page book not only gives you a step by step guide in how to become a private ESL tutor, it also contains original and unique material you won't find anywhere else, designed for teaching conversation and pronunciation skills to students who need to be able to speak socially. Distilled from my 14 years experience teaching English privately to students from all over the world, all the exercises have been designed and written by me. Rarely do ESL courses offer these kinds of exercises so even teachers with decades of experience will find something new. This book sets up a completely different style of teaching for private lessons for adults and you'll find your students surprised as they learn all the things that they have always wanted to know first but English courses generally either don't teach them or leave them til last. Many ESL courses today are designed to keep students there studying slowly for years. There's no need to do that. This book will enable you to get your student speaking conversational English quickly in weeks! Most of your initial students are probably going to be from university, new to the workforce, searching for a job or applying for a visa. Later, as you get more experience, you'll probably get government officials, CEOs, professional travelers and even rock stars. But when you start teaching, make sure your mindset is around teaching people who have a fascination for the world and will want to ask you ANYTHING. Don't be squeamish. Put aside any judgments, religious beliefs, political views, sexual preferences or anything else that may hold you back, and give them all you can in teaching them the basic fundamentals of social conversation skills. They'll love you for it. I've also included a special lesson on profanity, swear words, body parts and sex related vocabulary. Young, private male students usually ask about this. If you're not prepared to teach this you are welcome to skip over lesson 8, of course, but one of your students does ask you, you've got lessons prepared for them. "How to Become a Private English Language Conversation and Pronunciation Tutor: An Easy Step by Step Guide for Native English Speakers Teaching Mature Intermediate Level English as a Second Language (ESL) Students" is suitable for any native English speaker wishing to teach English to ESL adults, no matter what their teaching experience is. If you've never taught before, this book gives you advice on how to get started. This book includes information on; how to be a great ESL teacher; how to start up your English tutoring business; guides to writing your advertisements; how to run private English conversation lessons; over 10 hours worth of conversation and pronunciation exercises to get you started; where to find further teaching resources online, and much more. Over 150 pages of information! There is even an entire chapter on how to start your own online Tutoring service. You don't have to tutor people in your own town. You could be teaching people around the world! This book is designed for native English speakers so presupposes expert use of English conversation and pronunciation skills. (If you do not speak English as a native it may still be useful to you if you frequently get the top score in official English exams) Please note that this guide also presumes that you have some knowledge or experience of how to make use of the exercises inside. While general guides are included, familiarity with lesson planning will make the exercises in this book easier for you to use in your lessons. I'd recommend viewing the contents pages first to be sure this is what you're looking for before buying this title. Thank you again. Wishing you all the best in your private English Tutoring Service.
