An essential primer on the terms, definitions, and cant of plant identification. Anyone who has used a field guide or more advanced work related to plant identification will inevitably encounter a term or two for the first time. Harrington completely yet concisely describes and illustrates these terms for the reader. Most glossaries found in individual volumes are wanting in one aspect or another. Harrington's work fills in all the gaps and then some.
