Great read
A man who worked as a Coroner in a large Canadian city and self-described as being "the ombudsman/spokesman for the dead" talks of the quirks and machinations of his work. He maintains a positive attitude throughout the book and we learn the truth surrounding the death of famous Hollywood film star Errol Flynn who died in 1959. The book is full of humour whilst being respectful of the dead and the circumstances of their deaths. From famous people autopsy cases right down to the poor homeless lost souls who died of alcoholism on the skid row is covered in the book. Glen McDonald was a colourful personality who brought style and substance to the role of office of the Coroner in the time he served. I enjoyed reading the book and feel I got my money's worth from it.
