Monte Roberts is a very straight forward writer. He holds your attention, explains things clearly & with detail. His photos or drawings are very helpful, since this is a teaching book. As a novice I have a great amount to learn. So far he has made the lessons understandable & do-able. I have always had a great love for horses, but was surprised by how much closer I've become to both my older gelding as well as my young mare in training. He's given me an understanding of horses that I would never have thought imaginable. My continuing disabilities lead me to re-evaluate the need for horses in my life. My limited knowledge (of training) lead me to find sources that are easy, on both the horse as well as myself. Finding this (& other) book(s) will continue to be one of the greatest blessings in my life. Thank you for bringing this awesome author to me in an affordable way. I love a value & I value the wealth of information you can find in books.
