Excellent. Have had this bible for years. Brings new insights. Use it all the time. If you like this bible you will like works by Rocco Errico, an associate and bible scholar who worked with Lamsa.

Heightens Understanding
Purchased to be used along with the one of the King James versions of the Bible. Studying the parables and see that the holy word just keeps getting clearer as it is revealed through different writers.

Crisp and helpful translation
This translation, despite the difficulty that often faces the pursuer, is worth acquiring. Alas the difficulty is also reflected in the prices charged for what is an averagely bound and printed book. However if you can bear that particular pinch-point it is worth bearing in order to give your heart and mind to an English translation that embraces, culturally, the spirit of our Lord's time and the scriptures that he would have been familiar with. Okay this is not an exact science, but that's the same for anyone who has to read the Bible in translation. I would recommend you give this version a go . . . it will help if you are looking to find the heart of the scriptures rather than critical analysis that contextualises everything within the 'exacting science' of historical chronology.

Good Shape
The Bible arrived promptly and was in good shape. I love this translation so much I send them off to be bound in lovely leather with ribbons and sometimes gilding of pages. It is translated from the language Jesus spoke, Aramaic.
