This is the first time I have written a review for alibris, (or anyone) and it is only because I think so highly of this book. I have bought 7 copies to give to my friends. In this small and easily read volume, Nancy Guthrie shares the story of her own heartbreaking circumstance, and while working through it, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, she has offered us a template for godly obedience; trusting in the goodness of our Heavenly Father; praising Him through tears and growing up in Christ by sharing in the fellowship of His suffering. I drank this book up. I loved it. It hit me right where I am, as my husband has advanced cancer. It refreshed my soul to be reminded that God allows suffering for a purpose. Thank you, Nancy, for allowing God to redeem your trial..." and when He has tried us, we shall come forth as gold"!!!!
