If the names of Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales, Luiz Inacio Lula, Michelle Bachelet do not appear in the textbook you are using or plan to use you are using an outdated book; if it doesn't include chapters on popular music, cinema, sports, art, proverbs and flirtatious remarks, and food (with complete recipes of dishes and beverages from different countries!), you are missing an important part of the cultural aspects of the people. Hoja de Ruta can be a bridge between your advanced language and literature classes."
