Very Good Condition in Good jacket. Book. VG HB in G DJ, now protected by archival Mylar cover. 566 p. : illus. (incl. ports., plans); diagr.; 24 cm. Firebrick-colored cloth over boards, embossed frame with gilt title on front cover and spine. Presumed first edition. Size: Octavo (8vo; up to 9 3/4" / 20-25 cm tall). Item Type: Book. Text contains marks and notes scattered throughout, in pencil. Binding is tight; corners sharp, but showing some minor shelf wear. Plain paper (uncoated stock) dust jacket is dirty with loss at corners and large (1/2") chips at bottom of spine. Previous owner's name and address on front free end paper, along with dates and reading assignments. Heavy water stains on the spine, from the middle around the fold to the right edge of the back panel; a line of water staining down the middle of the spine, as well, though not affecting any text.
