The great events of the last few years have been carefully noted; in cluding the Crimean and Italian wars, and the Indian Mutiny. Improvements in the Arts and Sciences have been specially attended to: and in the chapter on Common Things, notices of recent and important inventions, such as the Electric Telegraph, &c., have been added.
