From an early age I have enjoyed the study of family history, and have pursued it for the past twenty years, hoping to leave valuable records, yet it has never seemed to me urgent that my manuscripts should be published; it is a labor of love freely given for my three children - Frances Owen, Stuart Carothers, and William Bowen Campbell Pilcher.
