Faded purple cloth with gilt spine lettering, black and white frontis plate, additional illustrations in black and white, 574 pages. Covers spotted, bumped and chipped, internally better with good hinges, sound text block, darkened endpapers, decorative name stamp at top of first pages, pages otherwise a little age-toned but clean, no other markings.
