I love Hannah Howell's Highland series. It feels more realistic and familiar to follow a family through the generations. After a while, you come to think of them as your extended family. Her style of spelling out the "Scottish brogue" has you reading, in your head at least, with an accent. Ms. Howell effectively sends you on a journey with Tavig & Moira that is full or danger, intrigue and tenderness. Some of the love scenes are "very familiar" if you have read the other books in the series, but that is forgiveable. All in all a very enjoyable read with a guaranteed happy ending.
