Wow! What a great story to start this new series with! I adore everything about this couple.
Life has thrown Sloane into a vulnerable position but she�s far from being fragile. I appreciated that she was able to pull herself up and take steps that didn�t offer any guarantees. She�s actually one tough lady and watching her deal with a case that would make the strongest of individuals weak had me admiring her all the more.
Dan is everything I love in a Freya Barker hero. He�s a little rough and rugged, the type of friend who will drop everything, and all kinds of swoony when it comes to his thoughts and reactions to Sloane. And oh lord, there is nothing more alluring (as in my ovaries just exploded) than a man tending to a baby. This author knows exactly how to paint the picture and stir all the emotions along with it.
This is a fast paced read with so many amazing characters. With layers of danger, drama, mysteries and steamy goodness, this book was impossible to put down. I can�t recommend this one enough!
