El presente trabajo aborda algunas de las principales modalidades de este influjo en la novela de "El Gran Jaguar" de Bernardo Valderrama Andrade, la cual surge como una propuesta y un reto a la literatura colombiana, mostrando, entre otros aspectos desde lo antropol???gico y cultural que el ser humano toma conciencia de su poder de destrucci???n con un profundo sentimiento de fracaso, desolaci???n y abandono, y desde lo literario, la liberaci???n de ataduras y la violaci???n de normas est???ticas caducas, creando un nuevo espacio donde cualquier ???poca puede ser perfectamente contempor???nea.
